I was going through a low point in my life, a long term relationship had ended and I felt isolated and alone, I was considering antidepressants but decided to try Mind Detox Therapy first. I went to see Zena and we had two sessions in all, the thought of talking about everything was scary but it turned out to be fun as I learnt how to be positive and love my own life.

During the sessions my self esteem improved and I feel that I have gained tools for life to be able to cope as problems arise. I feel happier and more confident and am enjoying the benefits of living alone and now look forward to whatever the future has to offer.

I have had anxieties and phobias for many years now, relating to wasps and, believe it or not long handled spoons! Not only did this sound ridiculous, it was also embarrassing if I went out to dinners and ordered dessert as I physically couldn't touch the spoon let alone eat with it. I found the summer extremely stressful due to wasps and was so happy when she told me she could cure me of these phobias. I was extremely anxious on our first session but within minutes I was relaxed and at ease.. By the end of our session I was actually holding a long handled spoon and later that day was able to use it which amazed my family, as for years I wouldn't touch them. As for wasps they really don't bother me any more so I am loving the summer again without that fear of being stung.

Zena's work was truly amazing and I would recommend her to anyone. Not only did I deal with these phobias, I dealt with much deeper issues that had been there all along and that's all thanks to Zena.

It was something that was already within me, and I came away with a tool, a coping mechanism, which I will take with me to the end of my days. The astonishing thing was, was how easy it was to get there !

I went to see Zena as I had been diagnosed with having panic disorder and agoraphobia. I have been too scared to try anything in life preferring to keep to where I feel safe.

But since my sessions with her I have been on holiday. And, not only have I been on holiday abroad, I enjoyed it. I felt safe and rather than feeling afraid all of the time I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I had the occasional wobble - when this happened I thought back to the memories of the past that we had looked at, and changed my perception of, and, I remembered the peripheral vision advice. As a coping medium it works very successfully.

I did have one very big panic attack. I have, since a child had a fear of volcanoes, probably from a film I watched when I was young although I don’t remember. On holiday one of our hotels was across the bay of Naples and had a “wonderful” view of Mount Vesuvius , a sleeping volcano. Just the sight gave me a panic attack. We were due to go for a trek up it the next day after a visit to Pompeii . Whether it was that Pompeii was so amazing or whatever, I thought "well I am this close I may as well go up" and I did. That was a massive thing for me to achieve. And, what was more amazing, was the fact that I enjoyed it and was so happy that I had achieved it.

In France the lift we were in got stuck between floors. I am claustrophobic too! but, again I coped. The therapy sessions I had, not only enabled me to go on a holiday abroad with my family, something I have wanted to do for years, but more importantly I was able to enjoy it rather than holding a panic attack at bay the whole time. I overcame some of my biggest fears:- being in another country, traveling, volcanoes and elevators. My sessions with Zena have given me back my life. It will not be possible for anyone to comprehend the difference the sessions have made to my life, and also to me as a person. I can never thank her enough.

I gave up smoking five years ago but always struggled with being a non-smoker, I felt a kind of jealousy when my friends went outside for a cigarette, it was something I couldn't shake and would be a bit moody about it. After only half an hour with Zena, I realised that the root of all these feelings came from when I started smoking originally - it was to look cool, and be looked up to. I realised that I am cool anyway and smoking adds nothing to this at all.

I approached Zena in order to overcome my fear of public speaking. As Zena took me through each step of the MDM process she uncovered memories and feelings that had long lay hidden and which, I realise now, were preventing me from being able to express myself in front of other people. The process took a matter of minutes, but the effect has been truly amazing. I now have more confidence in myself and I am more relaxed in group situations and when meeting new people. Thanks Zena!
